Who is the band Tool?
Tool is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1990. The group’s line-up includes drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, vocalist Maynard James Keenan, and Justin Chancellor, who replaced the original bassist Paul D’Amour as the band’s bassist in 1995. The band has won three Grammy Awards and produced chart-topping albums in several countries.
Tool’s musical style is generally described as progressive rock. As of this writing, the band has made 5 studio albums, which are available on all the major music streaming services and 8 music videos.
According to Nielsen Music, Tool’s albums have sold more than a combined 13.4 million copies in the U.S.
The first four of Tool’s full-length studio albums have sold at least 1 million copies each with the biggest being Aenima, with 3.7 million. Their most recent album release was titled “Fear Inoculum” and officially released in the US on August 30th, 2019.
The band has described two of their musical influences to include the Melvins and King Crimson.

The artwork on this shirt is from the 2006 (Europe April 28th, Australia April 29th, United Kingdom May 1st and May 2nd in the US) album “10,000 Days”. In an interview, the album illustrator and artist Alex Grey made reference to influences for this artwork having come from ayahuasca experiences and visions received from a DMT trip.
